Lesson Descriptions

Roll-Back-to-Float Lessons

Babies 6 to 12 months are taught the roll back-to-float sequence.  These young children learn by engaging in their physical environment. We honor this method of learning. In this sequence, students will learn breath control, correct floating posture, and the skills to attain a back float and remain floating until help arrives.  SEE WHAT YOUR BABY COULD LEARN

Schedule: Lessons are 5 days per week (Mon-Fri), for 10 minutes per day, for 4 - 6 consecutive weeks.

Cost: $105 ISR Registration fee + $100 per week instruction fee

Swim-Float-Swim Lessons

Children 1 year or older who are walking are taught the swim-float-swim sequence – swimming in a face down position, using his/her arms and legs; rolling onto their back to a survival float; and then flipping back over to continue swimming.  We teach using behavioral psychology, sensory-motor learning and positive reinforcement, to make the ordinarily unforgiving water environment safe for your children to learn what will work to allow them to make progress in swimming and obtain air when they need it.  ISR has numerous safety protocols to provide the safest possible lesson.   SEE WHAT YOUR CHILD COULD LEARN

Schedule: Lessons are 5 days per week (Mon-Fri), for 10 minutes per day, for 6 - 8 consecutive weeks.

Cost: $105 ISR Registration fee + $100 per week instruction fee

Refresher Lessons

Refresher Lessons are simply a condensed version of your child's initial lessons. These lessons are designed to fine-tune your child’s existing ISR Self-Rescue™ skills to meet the demands of their growing bodies. These lessons will allow them to make adjustments in their float, and strengthen their swim. Refresher lessons are recommended every 6 months.

Schedule: Lessons are 5 days per week (Mon-Fri), for 10 minutes per day, for 2 - 3 consecutive weeks.

Cost: $35 ISR Registration update fee + $100 per week instruction fee

Maintenance Lessons

Maintenance Lessons are a great alternative to refresher lessons. Once your child completes his or her initial course of lessons you can choose to continue to maintain his or her skills by attending once a week. Students who are maintaining their swim-float-swim can also be introduced to new strokes and skills such as diving for toys. Maintenance lessons are once a week for up to ten minutes per day. Maintenance lessons should start immediately after completing the initial course of lessons.

Schedule: Lessons are once a week for 10 minutes.

Cost: $20 per lesson

All ISR lessons

are private, one-on-one lessons. Instruction will be tailored to your child’s skill and comfort level. We customize each lesson to ensure the safest, most efficient lessons. We want each child to experience success and use positive reinforcement to recognize each accomplishment, no matter how small. The parent, or caregiver, watches every lesson poolside. Students attend 10-minute lessons every day, Monday-Friday (five lessons per week).  The reason for this is multifaceted. First, repetition and consistency are crucial elements of learning for young children.  Second, most children will not be able to focus on the task for longer and we want to take advantage of the best time for learning.

Cost of Lessons

All students must register through ISR's National Online Registration. There is a one time $105 Registration fee that is paid directly to ISR upon completion of the registration. Registration updates are required each year and are $35 per calendar year. There is a $100 weekly lesson fee that is paid directly to Swim Moore. The payment structure is provided in the Lesson Guidelines.
