Roll-Back-to-Float

Children ages 6 months to 1 year learn ISR's Roll-Back-to-Float sequence. In this sequence students learn to hold their breath and roll onto their backs to float, rest and breathe. They learn to maintain this position until help arrives.

Older, more mobile children will learn the full ISR Self-Rescue® sequence of swimming until they need air, rotating onto the back to float, then rolling back over to continue swimming. ISR students are taught to repeat this sequence until they reach the safety of the steps, side of the pool, or the shoreline.

Refresher Lessons

Refresher lessons are simply a condensed version of your child's initial course of lessons. These lessons are designed to fine-tune your child’s existing ISR Self-Rescue™ skills to meet the demands of their growing bodies. These lessons will allow them to make adjustments in their float, and strengthen their swim.

Maintenance Lessons

Maintenance lessons are a great alternative to refresher lessons. Once your child completes his or her initial course of lessons you can choose to continue to maintain his or her skills by attending once a week. Students who are maintaining their swim-float-swim can also be introduced to new strokes and skills such as diving for toys.
